Do we really hav democracy in Nigeria?

Democracy is the power given to the people over their elected leaders in terms of voting power.if the above statement is said to be factual, then,the only meal to democracy is voting democracy. In any Democratic governance, the power to elect and discard any politically elected leaders, rest upon the voting power of her electorates.democracy can only become a flourishing principle when we all tailored our personal and civic responsibilities to hav a well defined Democratic character. No nation,can progressively hav a sustainable development when the characters and policies of those we elected into public offices does not hav human face.democracy does not form alliance with an Autocrat ,but an autocrat can hide himself under the umbrella of a Democratic governance to compel obidence to the opposing voices through all forms of brute forces.An autocrat who hides under a Democratic governance to perpetuate all manners of crime against humanities, is a self inflicted autocrat whose primary aims is to crush any opposing voices not withstanding the enormity or the hallow effect such act can cause to the society and those around him!now,let me come back to the topic of the day which says"Do we hav democracy in Nigeria?well,if u ask me,I will unapologetically respond to u that Nigeria actually do hav democracy that only existed in the paper not in human minds!A country where her leaders do not practice what they preach,such country is an undemocratic nation.A country where human rights are been trampled upon, still remains a starter when it comes to democracy. A country where appointments for public offices  is been given unmeritoriously lopsided, is an undemocratic nation therefore, such country lack the moral conscience or right to celebrate democracy! A country where some session of the country are been cut off in the scheme of things when it comes to infrastructural development, and appointment of principal officers to head any parastatas or national assemblies in maintaining federal character principles which objectives is to ensuring that no part of the country is left out when it comes to given any government appointments and distributions of principal positions among the three arms of government. My dear,such country is not just an autocratic nation but also a totalitarian nation where only one person lords himself over those who elected him into power.if at all ,we do hav a semblance of a Democratic governance, it now becomes pertinently glaring that our Democratic governance is in a shambles. What can we brag of a Democratic nation where the  judiciary whose primary objectives is to dispense justice to both the rich and the poor  now turned themselves against the poor whose poor financial powers can not get them justice .our judiciaries hav now becomes an allies to only the rich and the political class with bogus financial power to purchase any judicial judgment to their favours?what type of democracy are we celebrating when freedom of speech,freedom to free association, and human fundamental rights has been crushed by our so called leaders whose hidden interest for their democratic anomalies is to continue to shot out every opposing voices that speaks against their ineptitudes in decision making and policy formations. A Democratic governance that has indirectly gagged the media for selfish reasons,is an autocratic governance and as such ,should not be regarded as a Democratic governance. Democracy is not a hidden personality when u pragmatically makes him ur day to day allies in all ur decision making in performing our civic responsibilities and how we all treats one another irrespective of our gender differences, political affiliations, regious participations, and  ethnic hegemony.no nations can become an indivisible entity where religious bigotry,injustice, poor morals,stealing of public coffers,and discarding the contributory capacity of any ethnic group for the growth and development of her nation.we must begin to see ourselves as oneness,.we must begin to distribute government positions with a substantial equality, we must begin to preach peace that will drive us to the part of sustainable development.
